Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco, October 2025. — The brightest stars in the culinary sky of Baja California traveled to the Mexican Pacific to shine in one of the most anticipated culinary encounters of the year. On October 12, the 17th edition of the international festival began Vallarta Stars, an event that brings together leading figures from the culinary world: from chefs with Michelin Stars, to representatives of The World's 50 Best Restaurants and participants from Top Chef.
For six days, Puerto Vallarta became the epicenter of flavor, creativity and innovation. Chefs from Mexico, Latin America and Europe came together to create unique experiences, share knowledge and pay homage to haute cuisine through collaborative dinners, conferences and exclusive demonstrations.

This year, Baja California once again conquered palates, reaffirming its leadership as a gastronomic powerhouse. The chefs Carolina Jiménez (Primitive, Michelin Mention) and Esteban Lluis (Damiana, Michelin Star) represented the state with pride, each one starring in a special night: Esteban on October 15 and Carolina on the 18th, as the closing of the festival.
Chef Esteban Lluis surprised with an abalone with beurre blanc and a rib eye with purée and Bordeaux sauce, demonstrating the strength of the technique and respect for ingredients from the Baja California sea and land. For her part, chef Carolina Jiménez enchanted with her smoked cauliflower with marrow and New York, closing with a creamy chocolate and lavender with cocoa and pistachio praline, a show of creativity and sensitivity that transformed dinner into a multisensory experience.

With these participations, Baja California reaffirms its position as one of the most important references in Mexican and international cuisine. The state's culinary proposal is distinguished by its balance between innovation, technique and respect for local products, reflecting an identity built between the sea and the desert.
Each dish presented in Vallarta told the story of a prosperous and passionate land, which has been able to conquer demanding palates and position itself as a first-class culinary destination.
